David Archuleta!!! Are you serious!?!

We just had the craziest weekend. I'm sure some of you will think I am completely pathetic; if that is the case- do yourself a favor and just skip right over this post. For the rest of you that will appreciate my teenage infatuation read on...

We just spend the weekend hanging out with David! It all started in Idaho Falls where we happen to be staying at the same hotel with David and his band. Oh boy, where do I start- Kendra is a girl in David's band. She plays the keyboard, violin, and is a back up singer. She just happens to live in my parents basement apartment. I gave Kendra a call when we saw David's tour bus outside our hotel to see if she wanted to meet up for dinner(we were there for Dan's business trip). She said, "hey maybe I'll see if David wants to come." I thought, ya right! We meet her in her room and she says, "so we have to go pick up David at the 4th floor". Long story short we drive them over and eat at Outback Steakhouse. Then we all decided to drive over and walk around the Temple. It was so crazy! I got a lame picture of us all on my cell phone that you can't even see cause it's so dark. But I at least needed proof right? We go and drop them off and we just figure that was a once in a lifetime thing right?!? Not really! Wait till I tell you about the rest of our weekend.

Kendra calls me to let us know that she got us tickets and VIP passes for their concert in Boise 2 days later. We were so excited. So, Saturday night we got a babysitter and left BrynLee for the first time. The concert was awesome- and even better, we got to meet up with Kendra and David after to get CD's signed and another picture. Which I look sick nasty in! Dang.

They let us know that they wanted to go to Sacrament meeting the next morning, so we told them what time ours was at and where to go. They ended up coming to the Sacrament meeting just after ours. You should have heard all of the whispering and pointing going on when people noticed him. Poor kid- he can't go anywhere without getting swarmed. They then let us know that David decided to do a fireside that night for the Stake next to ours. So later that night Dan and I went and picked up Kendra, David, and his Dad for the fireside. We pulled up to the church and we were escorted to our reserved seats in the front row. It was packed! They had to ask Dan to be a body guard to David. I know it sounds lame but you would not believe the crazy teenage fans. Anyway- he gave an awesome fireside and sang 3 beautiful songs. It was so powerful. That kid can sing! Then David let us know that he was going to shake every persons hand at the fireside. An hour and a half later... we end up coming over to our house after and eating chips and salsa; then drove them back to their hotel.

He is such a cute kid that is really trying to make a good impact on the music industry. I totally respect and appreciate what he and Kendra are doing. They were so sweet to us and totally made me feel like a teenager again! So there you have it... I haven't written this much since college.

Scrub-a-dub-dub...

She must have known what a relaxing spa-like experience her bath would be!

You've got to learn how to improvise when you're on vacation...

I think she rather enjoyed having a tub just her size.

1st trip to Utah!

We had such a fun and busy time visiting everyone in Utah! Bryn and I even managed to go down to St. George twice while we were there. I had the greatest time meeting up with friends from college and high school (why didn't I get any pictures of that dinner?!?) . I couldn't believe how much I had missed my old friends. I don't do a very good job at keeping in touch but each of you has a special place in my heart and can't wait to see you all again!

We went down to St. George to watch my brother Kimball play for Dixie State and open his mission call!!! Argentina baby!!! I'm sad I didn't get Taylor in any of these... He came up the week before.

We had such a fun weekend visiting the Home Shows, going out to dinner, shopping, and watching Kim play.

BrynLee's first time meeting her adorable cousin Brea. Thanks for sharing the spot light Brea! She was so sweet with Bryn.

Urg. Why is life so hard sometimes!?! Why didn't anyone tell me how difficult being old and all grown up would be? I'm still too young for this...
