Best Sister Ever!

One of my favorite people in the whole world came to visit us! It was so nice to spend time with my sister Krissy and her sweet baby Kaylin. We crammed as much as we could into the quick weekend. We even managed to take the babies out to the McCall Ice Carnival.

I cannot believe all of the detail in these sculptures. So amazing.

I'm so blessed to have my sister be one of my best friends. I have always adored her and looked up to her. Thanks for taking the time to come and spend time with us. We love you Krissy!!!

Mayzie Pics

Mayzie's home!!!

We couldn't be more thrilled to welcome our new baby girl, Mayzie Ann home!!!

7lbs 3oz 19 inches
I have never seen such a smiley baby in my life! I'm sure it was because she was so happy to be home after a week long stay in the NICU. She was getting tired of being poked and tortured in there! And we were sick of it too. We couldn't be more excited to have her home and in our arms.

Her big sis was on top of the world. We are all smiles around here.

Bryn is just so in love with Mayzie. She uses the most adorable baby voice when she talks to her and loves touching her cheeks and giving her kisses.

This is the first time Bryn was able to see her sister. So sad it had to be through glass, but it took 4 days for her to even be able to do that. Mayzie was born in the hospital in Boise and had complications with her breathing so she spent the first 6 days of her life in the NICU. She had a whole lot of fluid in her lungs and wasn't able to breath on her own, which made it impossible for her to eat for the fear of her aspirating again. So they had her on oxygen with a feeding tube as well as an iv in her little hand. Once she was stable it took a few more days for them to wean her off of everything. Luckily for us after 4 days we were able to be transferred to a hospital closer to our house to make it easier for me to go back and forth from home to go feed and visit her. They don't allow anyone under the age of 18 into the NICU so Bryn was just confused and not really understanding what was going on. Needless to say, she really struggled this week. My mom was so patient to put up with her acting out. Once we got to the NICU in Meridian they at least had a window that we were able to let these sweet girls finally meet each other.

Poor baby. It's hard to see your child like that. I just hated that this was the only world she knew. She was so cozy in my tummy and the second she comes out she is tortured all day long. I just wanted her to know that this would not be her life. I just wanted to take it all away for her and snuggle all day. So that's what I've spent my day doing since we've been home. I am so in love with this little girl.

We were so blessed to have my mom come (and stay an extra few days) to help us! I don't know what we would have done without her.

This is where we spent most of our time. Hanging out in the hospital room together. The hospital was so awesome to give me a room to stay in for free (haha- I'm sure I'll be billed enough through her NICU stay to make up for it). I slept there every night and went back and forth during the day every 2-3 hours.

I love watching these two girls together. Joys of my life. Welcome home baby Mayzie! We are so happy to have you in our family.

New House

It's almost been 2 months since we moved into our new house. And it has been a busy two months! With the holidays, a knee surgery, and a new baby just days away, it finally feels like we are all settled in. Here are a few pics of the downstairs. I haven't really had any time to decorate the upstairs so I guess pictures will have to wait until I've finished up there.
Dan's office is just to the left of the stairs in this picture. That is the main reason why we moved. He really needed more space away from Bryn and I so he could get some work done without hearing us all day. We did love our last house but just outgrew it too fast. We've decided to rent it out until the market is in a better position to sell.

Check out Bam (the dog) in this picture. Haha- he spends 90% of his day looking through that window at me. I'm pretty sure he wishes he was a human.

Through that open door is the laundry room. I was so excited it had a sink and was big enough to do my hair appointments in there! I almost feel like a professional again.

Upstairs is where the nursery and Bryn's room are. As well as a guest bedroom and a loft. So we are expecting visitors now that we have a place to put you up!!!

New Years!

Bryn stayed up and celebrated the new year with us. We all watched the ball drop and set the camera to catch this beauty, right as we were ringing in the new year. Aren't we just adorably cheesy?
This better be the only New Years kiss she gets for years to come!

Earlier that night we went out with my Aunt and Uncle to an awesome dinner and then over to a friends for games and dessert.

Here's Bryn Lee showing you how scary she is as a bear. I finally figured out how to follow a crochet pattern. That is honestly why my blog is so far behind! I'd rather be a grandma and crochet all day.

I was so pumped to have my parents, and brothers Taylor and Tanner come up after Christmas for a couple of days. It was hard to be away from my family for Christmas and this just made it all better. The boys of course had to go and blow some things up. Pretty sure all they got was a soda can.

I worked these two amazing people to the bone while they were here. My mom was busy sewing drapes for my bedroom while Dad was uploading all of my videos to a hard drive. I better take it easy on them next time or they won't want to come visit as often. I'm so thankful for wonderful parents who I have always been able to rely on. I love you guys.

We also went to game world where Dan conquered the high score on pop a shot. I think that was one of the highlights of his life! My mom took all the pics with her camera. I'll have to post the big victory later. I don't know why Tay Tay didn't get in any of these pictures, but he was a blast to have around. Thanks for taking the time to come and visit us guys!

Christmas 2010

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I loved watching this little toddlers reaction to all of her presents. Kids make Christmas so much more fun!
What could be cuter?! I love seeing kids in their winter gear.

The Beardall's all came up for Christmas this year. It was so nice to have family around. Dan did a great job hosting our first Christmas program. He really brought the real spirit and purpose of this season.

My family always makes awesome gingerbread houses over Christmas. In trying to keep some of my traditions alive up here in Boise, I took the easy way out and bought a couple of those pre-made kits. Thanks to Tyler and Melissa for humoring me and decorating with us. You guys have some real talent. It was so fun to have you guys stay with us!
